Aztec GP welcomes Danny Kent………

With the sad news that Ed Rendell will miss the rest of the 2009 season, Aztec GP can confirm that “Red Bull Rookie” rider Danny Kent will join them for the remaining 3 rounds of the British 125cc GP championship. Absent from the circuits of the UK for most of 2009 Danny returned to action at Brands Hatch last weekend with a ride in the “Thundersport” championship, finishing runner up on an unfamiliar bike.

Joining the “Red Bull Moto GP academy” in 2008, his first year in the 125cc class, Danny successfully secured 9th place overall in the Spanish CEV championship. For the 2009 season Danny rode in the “Redbull Rookies”. Finishing 4th in the championship as the top British rider, Danny had many pole positions and podiums along the way.

With multiple British championships under his belt, 15 year old Danny looks forward to building upon the progress made by Ed Rendell and Aztec GP in the 2009 season. Danny says “Ed Rendell has done a great job on the Aztec machine, showing its true potential at Brands and Cadwell. I will continue to work with the team for the rest of the season and hopefully give them a strong finish to the year. I am pleased to have this opportunity as it will keep me fresh and focussed in preparation for what will hopefully be my return to “Red Bull Rookies”.
