Aztec GP can confirm that Danny Kent will make a return to the team for the 2010 season which kicks off at Brand Hatch in April. The young man from Tetbury joined Aztec GP for the last 3 rounds of 2009 season, delivering some great performances and the teams first podium finish.

Danny will be racking up the air miles as he commutes between his British Championship challenge and the “Redbull Rookies” championship at selected Moto GP events. He will be looking to build upon his 2009 season successes finishing 4th in the “Rookies” championship as the top British rider.

Danny and his family would like to thank Roger Burnett for his support and assistance in making it possible to be able to compete in both the Rookies and the British 125cc Championship. The team would also like to thank Roger and Neil Clayton at Doodson Motorsport, without whom this would not have been possible

Now 16 years old, Danny looks forward to building upon the progress made by the team last year as they set their sights on championship success. The upbeat teenager commented “I wanted to rejoin Aztec GP for 2010 and be a part of their future plans. We have a two man team now and I am really looking forward to working with Andy Reid as my team mate”.

Bryan Nortje, Racing Director added, “we are all delighted to welcome Danny and his family back for 2010. We were very impressed with his commitment and professional approach to our race program last year. We are confident that Danny and his new team mate Andy Reid, will take the team as a whole to a new level.

”2010 is a massive year for the team”, commented Dave Russell. “The quality and commitment of our riders is fundamental and Danny’s contribution will be pivotal as we push forward in our long term objective to put the team on the GP world stage”.
