Andy Reid took his place on the podium this weekend claiming P2 in the “Acadamy Cup” with a P7 finish at Thruxton. A terrific performance saw him start from mid pack to charge through to honours at the “high speed” circuit. In great race with plenty of the usual 125cc incidents the young man from Belfast secured another 9 points toward his championship challenge A thrilled 16 year old Reid commented “It’s a great result for the team. I nearly didn’t make it, like Danny, my flight was cancelled. I would like to say thanks to everyone at Aztec GP for a great weekend and a special thanks to Brian McKenna for taking me to Thruxton and back, its been fantastic”.
